Equity Market Data has developed a custom plugin for Eclipse Trader that allows the data files generated by Equity Market Data to be used with the Eclipse Trader platform.

Office suites and databases

Open Office

The open source office suite Open Office provides an excellent spreadsheet to view and analyze files with. The screenshots of the data files on this website were taken from the calc spreadsheet provided by Open Office. Many customers use our data files with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access and use features of those programs to analyze the stock information. These tools are useful in analyzing single data files or a few data files.

A relational database is recommended to analyze a large set of datafiles. Many customers use the open source database MySql which is able hold all of the data we have captured. Our data files will produce over 400 million data points per month, and over 5 billion data points per year. This is a lot of information, and will be extremely helpful in your stock trading research endeavors.
