Data files loading and storing

This section describes how the data files are loaded and stored in the DataPlugInForEclipseTrader, and how data files are used in different charts.

• Equity Market Data data files download and store

  1. Download the data files from the Equity Market Data web site.
  2. Put all these files into the folder where the Data Files Location in the preferences page refers to.
  3. If the cache function is not enabled, all the data files will be remained here after data processing.
  4. If the cache function is enabled, all the processed files will be moved into the folder where the Processed Files Location in the preferences page refers to. The processed files will not be used again, only if you move them back to the folder Data Files Location.
  5. All the files in the folder Processed Files Location will not be processed, it is just a backup folder to store all the processed files.

• data files usage in different charts

  • There are various type of Equity Market Data data files available in the web site, such as bihourly200904280930.zip or endofdayequities20070101.zip
  • The files those names begin with the bihourly is especially for the chart opened with the interval of hourly or minutes.

    

    

  • The files those names begin with the endofday is especially for the chart opened with the interval of monthly, weekly or daily.
